detail is nice up till you look at the tree trunk. kinda thought those things on the side was of somthing hitting it and leaving a mark(kinda like an ax...or sword ) more than what was intended as far as texture goes for the tree, its very nice ^_^ i wouldn't change that. as far as everything else goes, its all good ^,..,^
WHOA WHOA WHOA. You do illustrations for Wizards of the Coast? As in, like, Dungeons and Dragons Wizards of the Coast? (Yeah, because there are so many other WotC's!) *staring in awe* Thats kind of really really really super-amazing. Please allow my inner and outer geek to come out and have a little part here, but D&D illustrations are positively amazing, and it seems sort of incredible to see someone who works for them on the internet.... I always sort of thought of the illustrators as demi-gods who didn't associate with the rest of the artistic world because they were off being amazing and illustrating for D&D books.
And now that that rant's done, THIS IS AWESOME. I love her green hair. I also love how much the short sword is gleaming, like a stray ray of light is shining down through the forest to illuminate it before she goes in for the kill.
Stunning, realistic, dark, and simply amazing! I love the hardened expression on his/her face, though it is not that cruel (as in, taking delight in killing). The shadows give this picture a dark, hidden feeling. The left hand's posistion seems a little out of place, but that is the only flaw I can find.
This is really great. Character - fantastic! Elven armor - brilliant! The woods quite don't go with it (for me it's because now I'm playing Elder scrolls: Skyrim aaand, my eyes want some snow.) But otherwise it's totally awesome.
Nice Work and gratz on the DD. You did a pretty good job, Something that really caught my attention though was the sword. There are two things about it i noticed for one the coloring of the sword. did a good job coloring it, but compared to the rest of the picture which is is mostly dark and gloomy colors, it just looks out of place. I don;t know if you meant to do this or something like maybe it a glowing sword or something but i just noticed it. also the angle and everything between her hand and the sword just appear to be awkwardly held. or something like that. other than that it's a pretty damn good piece, again congrats on the DD!
Yea, there are a few things that are bugging me now, particularly with her arms. However, since this is contract work that is already published, and the final was completed months ago, I probably won't make a lot of changes at this point.
Lovely! I love that the clothing design is both practical-looking in that colour cheme etc but still had the fun detailing that usually goes along with elven-type character. This is beautiful....and I wouldn't want to mess with her. At all.
